CAPE Youth Edition
Your guide to health, respectful connections, and personal power. CAPE treats sexual health as a leadership skill — students learn to decide with confidence instead of fear.

What CAPE stands for

Read it as text
The Core Mantra: Your CAPE is yours to wear — every single day.
Confident
Knowing your worth and trusting your instincts before any pressure arrives.
Aware
Reading your surroundings and tuning into your own internal radar in real time.
Protected
Having the tools, team, and plans built out that keep you safe.
Empowered
Leading your life with healthy habits every single day, not just in a crisis.
The MATCH Compass: a Decision GPS
Five points students can check in any situation — at a party, in a group chat, or at the clinic front desk.

- Health Armor
Annual check-ups, vaccines like HPV and Hep B, and knowing your health baseline.
- Built-In Radar
Trusting your gut, reading the room, and catching warning signs early.
- Safety Kit
A charged phone, a ride plan, a safety buddy, and 3–5 trusted adults on speed dial.
- Strongest Voice
Rehearsed boundary scripts and the FRIES consent model.
- Daily Superpower
Sleep, movement, choosing your own pace, and protecting your permanent digital legacy.
Two tracks, matched to age
Content is split by grade band so every lesson fits where students are developmentally.
Green Track
- Confidence, boundaries, and consent
- The 3-Second Rule before sending anything online
- Consent Café role-plays with boundary menus
- The Digital Handoff: saving your plan before the class ends
Blue Track
- Everything in Green Track, deepened
- Protection and medical shields
- Navigating clinics, insurance, and confidentiality
- Naming the Ghosts and the Clinical Bridge: words for the front desk
- The Green Light Pivot (Part 5)
Blue Track content is gated. Protection and clinical modules are never delivered to Green Track students, and are taught only with institutional approval.

For parents and guardians
You should know exactly what your child is learning. CAPE is built so families can see the materials before a lesson is taught.
- Preview first. The CAPE book includes a Parent & Educator Guide, and a parent preview sample and family communication templates are available on request.
- Age-gated content. Protection topics are Blue Track only (grades 9–12).
- Waiting is a valid choice. Choosing your own pace is taught as a leadership decision.
- Safe rooms. Every session has two adults present, and facilitators are background-checked mandated reporters.
Standards alignment
CAPE is aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for health education. Skills transfer to any state; Houston is used as the worked example.
